M'Kade & Rachel's Proposal Story
This is my "little" brother & my soon to be sister-in-law, Rachel! Today is M'Kade's 21st birthday! Happy Birthday to the youngest Woodchip!!! Love you both so much!
"It started out as a casual double date with two of our good friends, and ended up with M'Kade down on one knee and a beautiful ring on my finger!!! The events leading up to this magical night were very routine and ordinary for a Friday night for us - dinner out at Doughboy's Pizza and fun walking around downtown Macon. As we were in the middle of eating dinner, M'Kade got a phone call from Ashah asking us to join her, her husband, Ben, and some friends on the rooftop of Broadway Lofts where we've hung out in the past. After dinner, we walked to the rooftop of the Lofts as I anticipated an enjoyable evening with friends. When we arrived, M'Kade pretended he'd forgotten which way led to the rooftop and told me to lead the way up. As I opened the door, I was speechless at the sight of hundreds of candles lining the floor of the rooftop area. M'Kade took me by the hand and led me to the center of the rooftop, where he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. After a few minutes, the door opened and my parents, M'Kade's parents, most of our siblings and their families and some of our friends came out on the rooftop to congratulate us! This event was the culmination of seven years of being boyfriend and girlfriend, and I couldn't have thought of a more special way to become engaged!" - Rachel Hunt
