"I was interning at the district attorney's office after graduating from law school, and Jesse was working night shift patrol at the sheriff's office. I went to do a "ride along" soon after starting so I could see the other side of a case. I was assigned to ride with another deputy, but Jesse told his lieutenant "I'll take the redhead!!", and with a shake of his lieutenant's head, our story began! Jesse spent the next several hours doing his best to impress me with his mad law enforcement skills and wry sense of humor. I'm so glad he finally worked up the courage to ask me on a date as he was driving me back to the sheriff's office in his patrol car, and I can't wait to share the rest of my life with him!"
